Yes it's good to run the whole way, but sometimes to walk and realise that you're actually out there doing something for your self, something good and healthy and totally even challenging, well, something's most people won't even think about doing for themselves. That is totally awesomeness!

And of course, those walking bits, just taking in His beautiful creation, the fantastic scenery, the sense of freedom if you're lucky enough to have some woods or outbacks on your doorstep is truly awesome.

And realising the fact that you can do it. Why squander that by sitting in front a t.v.? There are others who have never had the chance to even try, well that is awesome knowing that, and most humbling! So yeah, get out and run, walk and enjoy to the max!!Mooshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10151640115276287360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2564096549176796631.post-86046644360942704922013-09-27T20:23:51.306+10:002013-09-27T20:23:51.306+10:00Nothing is perfect but we can give our best.

From the truly amazing pros & winning age-groupers who finished spent, with a keen awareness of completing a plan, to the final finishers who crossed the line with looks of exhausted & relieved amazement, to Barney Tomasich- the last competitor, who struggled to cross the line. The lesson for me is in that phrase (now over-used, but still true) to 'never give up', because then you never 'lose' even if you miss race cut-off.RRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14312205881023621347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2564096549176796631.post-19019485847199204012012-03-29T10:58:23.580+11:002012-03-29T10:58:23.580+11:00This comment has been removed by the author.RRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14312205881023621347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2564096549176796631.post-46602337773996474622011-12-24T00:59:35.844+11:002011-12-24T00:59:35.844+11:00I guess the running gods wld say that a runner has...I guess the running gods wld say that a runner has to both toe the line (at training) + cross the line (when racing). But the best lines of all (for me) are not straight, but circuitous like the horizon, mere guides to journeys that last a lifetime. Good pics + thoughts to ponder PF thanks.RRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14312205881023621347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2564096549176796631.post-87933861734508512892011-12-13T12:17:50.139+11:002011-12-13T12:17:50.139+11:00Yes RR, 'existential' indeed :-)

Some of us leave it for so long, or never re-find it - it takes a while to adjust, and it feels like RSL.
PFPaul Fordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03384963240180239697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2564096549176796631.post-28185344617344053952011-12-12T19:10:19.097+11:002011-12-12T19:10:19.097+11:00+ I thought training for me was RSL- running as a ...+ I thought training for me was RSL- running as a second language: now I see it's existential!RRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14312205881023621347noreply@blogger.com
